Mumford and Sons reveal details of upcoming second album
Mumford and Sons have announced that their second album Babel will be released on September 24th. The album is the hotly-anticipated follow-up to their multi-award winning debut Sigh No More.
Numerous tracks from the new album have made appearances at Mumford and Sons live shows recently, including their recent Gentlemen of the Road gig in Galway.
"We are more than excited to release Babel into the world", said the band in a statement. "We had started writing new songs well before we got into the studio to record. At first, we peeled ourselves off the road quite reluctantly, but it had also become and important part of our creative process, we had been writing and rehearsing in soundchecks, and sort of 'road-testing' new songs on our very gracious audiences."
"As a band, we've never been closer or more collaborative, all working to our strengths"
The trackslisting for Babel is:
Babel
Whispers In The Dark
I Will Wait
Holland Road
Ghosts That We Knew
Lover Of The Light
Lovers' Eyes
Reminder
Hopeless Wanderer
Broken Crown
Below My Feet
Not With Haste
