Mumford and Sons, Rihanna Oxegen bound?

Okay, first a warning: file this under pure speculation and little else. The headline acts for next summer's Scottish festival T In The Park have been announced and sometimes, more often than not in fact, T In The Park acts as a sort of overflow festival for Oxegen with both festivals sharing a number of acts on the summer touring circuit.

Ireland's biggest (in one way or another) festival, Oxegen, is set to return next summer after a hiatus in 2012 and rumours have been rampant as to what will become of it. It's been heavily rumoured that the festival will be depart from its longtime home in Punchestown to a brand new site a bit further afield (no pun intended) even further outside of Dublin, making day-trips a hell of a lot more inconvenient for us city folk.

Mumford & Sons and Rihanna have both signed up for T In The Park, so they'd be a good bet to appear at the revamped Oxegen (especially the Mumfords, if you ask us). As well as those, Alt-J, Jake Bugg, Paloma Faith and Of Monsters and Men have all signed up to appear, too.

Safe bets? Perhaps not just yet, but we'd be quietly confident that the majority of the acts above would be available to appear at the new Oxegen.
