Last October, Michael Bublé was announced as the host of the BRIT Awards, which take place at London's O2 next month.
However, shortly afterwards his 3-year-old son Noah was very sadly diagnosed with liver cancer, which understandably led to the cancellation of numerous live dates and TV appearances.
Now, the Canadian musician has reportedly pulled out of the BRITs gig on February 22nd to spend time with his family.
The Sun reports that organisers of the ceremony are looking for a replacement host after Bublé told them that he would not be able to make it.
Their source said: "It was a difficult call but Michael has decided to pull out of hosting the Brit Awards. Out of respect for Michael the producers gave him as much time as he needed to make the decision, which they completely understood.
"He would have put a unique stamp on the night so it’s a real shame, but at the moment his priority is his family. They are exploring other options now about who will take his place and a number of people have thrown their hat in the ring."
Bublé himself has remained mostly silent on social media since the news of his son's illness broke.
