In recent days, Marilyn Manson has been in the news for his erratic behaviour at a gig in New York over the weekend, where he reportedly turned his back on his audience and demanded that they 'show him affection' and applaud.
His strange behaviour marks a turbulent few months for the shock-rocker after he broke his leg during a stage accident last October, his band's guitarist Daisy Berkowitz died of colon cancer and he was forced to fire bassist Twiggy Ramirez after he was accused of rape and abuse by a former girlfriend.
Now Manson himself has been accused of sexual harassment and making racist comments by actress Charlyne Yi. Yi alleges that Manson visited the set of TV drama House 'because he was a huge fan' and made the inappropriate comments during the visit.
On her now-deleted Twitter account, she wrote:
"He came on set to visit because he was a huge fan of the show, and he harassed just about every woman, asking us if we were going to scissor, rhino & called me a China man.”
"It’s so triggering to see people come up on the internet who have harassed you. And then when you talk about the incidents you become known as the person tied to the harasser. And that’s just your name from now on. It almost overrides who you are.”
Representatives for Manson told The Guardian that they would not be making a comment on the allegations at this time.
