Matt Berninger, lead singer of Brooklyn rock band The National, has formed a new side project called El Vy.
Berninger and his friend Brett Knopf of indie band Menomena will release their debut album 'Return to the Moon' on October 30th.
The name of the band is intended to be a plural of 'Elvis' and is pronounced to rhyme with 'hell pie'.
They'll tour the album in Europe later this year, which includes a stop-off at Whelan's in Dublin on December 13th.
