Just last week, we were speculating on when we might hear some new material from Arcade Fire, after drummer Jeremy Gara revealed that their new album was pretty much done and dusted.
Now, the Canadian band have revealed 'I Give You Power', a collaboration with soul stalwart Mavis Staples. It's not yet known whether it'll also appear on their forthcoming fifth album, however, and is more than likely a one-off single, with all proceeds going to the American Civil Liberties Union.
The timing of the song's release is no coincidence, either, with the accompanying message saying: It's never been more important that we stick together and take care of each other. Love, Mavis Staples and Arcade Fire."
