This August bank holiday weekend sees the return of The Liss Ard Festival an intimate boutique festival with loads to offer for music and food lovers. The festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday, 4th and 5th August, and has a multitude of options for festival goers with a range of music and literary acts performing over the two day festival and a delicious healthy food fair.

The festival has a stellar line up, confirmed acts include 70’s disco and funk legend Chic, Irish singer songwriter Mick Flannery with his recently released ‘Red to Blue’ album, fresh from their Forbidden Fruit headline electronic act the Chromatics will return to Ireland, another one of our own brilliant singer songwriters Lisa Hannigan, Jamaican reggae band Toots & The Maytals, American songwriter Bob Mould and his band and lots more. The line-up for each day is as follows

SATURDAY 4TH AUGUST:
Chic, Lisa Hannigan, Bob Mould Band plays Sugar Copper Blue, Nicolas Jaar, Heathers, Chromatics, DJ Kormac, Interference, Tieranniesaur, Rhob Chunningham, Black,
Lowmountain, Chris Stout & Catriona McKay, Sacha Puttnam.

SUNDAY 5TH AUGUST:
Mick Flannery, Toots & The Maytals, Paul Buchanan, Roy Harper, Joan As Policeman, John Daly, The Macrae Sisters, Moscow Metro, West Cork Ukelele Orchestra, Julie Feeney, The Ceili All Stars, Caoimhin Raghallaigh, St. Fachtna's Silver Band.

Taking to the Literary stage are Mimic, Jinx Lennox, Chill Pill, award winning Paul Howard most known for his Ross O’ Carroll Kelly character, Fight Night, Matthew Gedden and Friends, Joe Dunthrone, Paul Murray and Nile Rodgers reading from his autobiography.

The Festival takes place in the grounds of Liss Ard Estate situated in West Cork and will also celebrate local food heroes and the finest produce from the West Cork area in a designated Theatre of Food area with tastings, demonstrations and talks from some of Ireland’s best greatest producers, chefs and food writers including food writer journalist and logger Mei Chin, founder of Ballymaloe Cookery School cookbook author Darina Allen, Veronica Steele, Toby Simmonds, Sally Barnes and lots more. Festival goers will also get a chance to sample and purchase fresh local produce in the Farmers Market.

Tickets are still available for what is set to be a great weekend. Tickets are priced at €89.50 for Weekend Camping Tickets and €70.50 for Weekend No Camping Tickets. Gates are open from 9am.
