Following their duet at 'One Love Manchester' on Sunday night, Liam Gallagher has changed his opinion on Coldplay.

The former Oasis frontman has spoken disparagingly of Coldplay in the past, claiming Chris Martin looked like a Geography teacher back in 2006.

"Chris Martin looks like a geography teacher. What’s all that with writing messages about Free Trade? If he wants to write things down I’ll give him a pen and a pad of paper. Bunch of students.”

Even as recently as last year he was dismissive of their attire.

“I’m sure he does put on a good gig, Chris Martin, the amount of money he gets paid. He looks like he’s in The Tweenies though. The whole band look beyond shit. Have they not seen any photos of The Rolling Stones? Probably not.”

However after performing 'Live Forever' with Chris Martin on Sunday night, Gallagher has revealed that he's changed his mind about Coldplay. After a festival appearance in the Netherlands this week, Liam was asked about the Manchester gig and without even being prompted he paid the band a compliment.

“They’ve never sounded so good have they, Coldplay? I was like, ‘Fucking hell, you sound good man. I take back everything I’ve ever said about you. You sound fucking really good.'”

Liam was then pressed about whether he was worried about being linked to the band following their duet in Manchester.

“I don’t mind. Listen, man. They’re all right man. Chris is cool.”

Someone that isn't cool in Liam's book is his brother Noel for failing to show up to the benefit gig on Sunday night. Though it has since been revealed that the older Gallagher brother made a generous donation to the cause.
