Katy Perry has revealed plans to set up her own record label. Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Perry said: "When this record label does come to fruition, I'm going to try and avoid the things that take away any fighting chance for an artist to have financial success. As people are coming to me with opportunities, I'm thinking, 'How would I want to be treated?"

Perry has been a part of EMI's Capitol records since 2007 and it is highly likely that any label she sets up with be part of their every-growing collection. Perry also hinted that her next album will be very dark, hinting that her divorce from comedian Russell Brand will infuse itself in her sound. "My music is about to get real fu*king dark", she said. "You'd never see my face because my hair would be in it."

Is Katy Perry really going emo?
