Katy Perry has said that she is '100% ready' to end her long-running feud with Taylor Swift, even despite the latest development on Friday.
Perry released her latest album 'Witness' on Friday, but on the same day - and at the same time it was released, in fact - Swift's entire back catalogue was re-released on Spotify after years of not being available on the streaming service.
Speaking during a conversation with Huffington Post founder Ariana Huffington that was livestreamed over the weekend, Perry said: "I’m ready to let it go. Absolutely, 100 percent. I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her and I think it’s actually… I think it’s time.”
She added: "There are bigger fish to fry and there are bigger problems in the world. I love her and I want the best for her, and I think she’s a fantastic songwriter and, like, I think that if we both, her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go, like ‘Yeah we can do this’.”
Swift reportedly wrote 'Bad Blood' about Perry after the latter poached back-up dancers from her tour - and Perry retaliated with 'Swish Swish' on her new album, which is reportedly about Swift.
