Canadian pop tyke Justin Bieber has missed a scheduled court appearance after apparently deciding to go to Coachella instead. The scheduled date stems from an assault charge against the singer from December of last year, where police had alleged that Bieber hit a limo driver several times in the back of the head after he and some friends were picked up by the driver in the early hours of December 30th.

According to the Toronto Star, Bieber's legal counsel stood in for him and provided "additional disclosure" for their client. Bieber was ordered to reappear in the court on May 12th.

Bieber also missed his first Toronto court appearance in March after being initially charged with the offense at the end of January. The case is expected to go to trial, with the date of commencement set to be announced in the autumn.

The 'Girlfriend' singer made an appearance at the Coachella festival this past weekend, where he joined Chance The Rapper on stage during his set.
