At Electric Picnic, live music is squished into every available stage, platform, tent, teepee or caravan that's available.

This year, the people behind the Just Eat Retreat have lined up a tasty (sorry) line-up of bands, DJs and artists to enjoy while you enjoy a bit of downtime and order some grub, which the Just Eat waiters will deliver to you.

Their line-up includes Al Doyle (Hot Chip/LCD Soundsystem), Fish Go Deep, Kelly-Anne Byrne, Arveene, Johnny Moy, Billy Scurry and more.

FRIDAY

· Pete Dancer Pete goes to every gig in Ireland he can (that he likes) and is a huge fan of music from indie to dance and the rest of the stuff we will love. Big music lover and a very decent selector who plays regularly in The Sugar Club and various other venues around Dublin.

 

· Al Keegan is a Dublin based DJ, Promoter and Aciitone label boss, promoting quality house and techno. Al started DJing at the young age of 14 and has since went on to play in some of Dublin's most respected venues.

· Cici Kavanagh is a Dublin DJ and producer who has performed at top festivals and club nights in London, Dublin and Ibiza. Ci Ci can rock the party real well and after a few years experience playing around the world she could be one to watch.

· Johnny Moy has been involved in the dance scene in Ireland since it began. He has toured the world playing records with The Chemical Brothers plus rand Daeth in Vegas plus remixed tracks for U2 (a few times) and David Holmes. A veteran DJ who has held numerous residencies in NYC institutions like Twilo, Limelight / also LDN Joints / Ministry of Sound, Heavenly Social, Turnmills and many more. He has strong connections with the DFA / LCD family.

 

· Billy Scurry has become synonymous with the club and DJ scene in Ireland. Cited by many as the pioneer who brought real dance music to Ireland in the early to mid-90s, Billy’s roots are as much in Soul, Funk and Hip Hop as they are in Techno, House and Disco. Legendary residencies in The Temple of Sound, Sides, The Kitchen and The Ormond during the 1990s along with international gigs worldwide have seen Billy constantly develop his soulful sound.

SATURDAY

· Tent Talks

 

· DJ Scope is the main man behind the brand ChoiceCuts which is by far the most credible bookers for contemporary hip hop, soul, funk and house, the talent list is endless so we won’t get into that, all you need to know is he is a fine selector of jams with a huge knowledge of music from all genres.

 

· Handsome Paddy has established himself as one of Ireland’s favourite and most in demand DJs. In 2015 he joined RTÉ 2XM’s roster as presenter of the No Static radio show, broadcasting worldwide every Thursday. He has an old-school hip-hop aesthetic when it comes to DJing and his energetic, genre-hopping sets are built around quick mixing with elements of turntablism, switching it up from rap to disco to house and beyond.

 

· Al Doyle is a member of New Build, LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip, the British electronic music band formed in London in 2000. With Hot Chip he has released six studio albums and have been nominated for the Mercury Prize. Al has garnered critical acclaim as well as a Grammy nomination with LCD Soundsytem which was formed in 2002.

 

· Get Down Edits are long standing Waterford DJs, who are known for their disco sets and their love of classic funk and soul. As prolific DJs, the pair have delved into the practice of making disco edits, they have three volumes of them already available and coveted already.

· Fish Go Deep are an Irish production duo consisting of Greg Dowling and Shane Johnson from Cork. They have been releasing house records under this name since 1997 and in 2006 they reached number 1 on both the dance chart and indie chart with their track "The Cure & the Cause".

SUNDAY

· This Greedy Pig DJ
s bring a mix of hip hop, soul, funk, jazz, disco, afrobeat, electronic music and house to their sets. The Piggies are also very active on the arts scene and have a big vinyl orientated exhibition coming up soon which features artists from all over the world re- interpreting their favourite record sleeves.

 

· T/A/S/T/E DJs Emmet Homebeat and Thomas (Major Tom) Ryan bring a host of ‘cosmic classics’ to their sets. T/A/S/T/E is a monthly Cosmic Club Night. These two are also behind so many amazing pop ups/parties and are generally sound folk to party with, so, ye know the drill, get involved.

· Kelly Anne Byrne is a regular DJ at festivals throughout Ireland. She’s known for her love of disco and soul, which manifests itself in a monthly club night called Burnin’ Up in The Grand Social and a nationwide show on Saturday night on Today FM called The Beat Goes On. She also has three hours a day from Monday to Thursday on TXFM from 7pm to 10pm.

· Mother DJs host arguably the most colourful party in Dublin city, Mother is Ireland's loud and proud queer night with DJs delivering the best in disco and electronic music. Our pals Phil and Ruth will be representing the Mothership.

· Arveene’s remix credits read like a who’s who in electronic dance music including the likes of Mr. Oizo, The Prodigy, Calvin Harris, Felix The Housecat, Zombie Nation or Kelis on labels such as Kitsune, Ed Banger, Bang Gang and Turbo.
