Last week it was revealed that an objection had been lodged by local residents in relation to the forthcoming Samhain festival in Dublin.

The two-day event, which will see Annie Mac headline on Saturday 28th and Liam Gallagher headline on Sunday 29th October had been under threat after residents around Weston Airport in Lucan had raised objections.

The matter was deferred until this week and it's now been announced that the gigs will go ahead as planned.

Judge Michael Conlan ruled yesterday that the concerns raised by residents have been addressed by promoters, and granted a licence. He did, however, say that it would be the last time that an event would take place at Weston Airport if any serious problems arose, and ordered that flights out of the airport will have to stop by 3pm on the day of the first gig.

Gardai maintained that they will be on hand to keep concert-goers away from local estates.

As the main himself might say, as you were.
