Jedward Top The Charts

26 July 2010

Pop music's most hyperactive duo John and Edward Grimes AKA Jedward are sitting atop the Irish album charts, breaking Eminem's four-week residency at the top spot. The Lucan brothers 'Planet Jedward' debut contains John and Edward jumped, shouting, talking and laughing their way through half-hearted renditions of old Blink-182, Vanilla Ice and The Undertones songs.

Elsewhere, Villagers album sales have been boosted by news of Conor J. O'Brien's Mercury Prize nomination with 'Becoming A Jackal' jumping from 38th place to 20th and The Coronas' 'Tony Was An Ex-Con' is up to the 17th spot from 30th place.
