No single Irish concert performance was talked about more than last summer's Swedish House Mafia concert at the Phoenix Park - and it had nothing to do with what happened onstage. The second of three gigs organised by concert promoters MCD, the SHM gig was beset by crowd trouble from the early afternoon which eventually culminated in a rake of violence and anti-social behaviour.

You might have imagined that the furore surrounding that particular show would have made MCD - and Dublin City Council - less inclined to hold the gig series again this summer but it looks like it's going ahead, if the Evening Herald is to be believed.

This is all hearsay at the moment but names like Jay-Z, Mumford and Sons, The Killers and Justin Timberlake are all being bandied about at this stage but it's important to note that we've yet to hear any official rumblings from MCD towers.
