The line-up for the UK's End of the Road festival was announced this morning, and has given plenty of Electric Picnickers food for thought.

Although of course there's no guarantee that any of the acts playing the Wiltshire festival will be Stradbally-bound, it does take place over the same weekend and in previous years, many acts - particularly touring international bands - have played both festivals.

Perhaps the best news - whether they end up playing EP or not - is that Vampire Weekend are finally making their return and we can expect to hear their long-awaited fourth album this year.

Other acts on the End of the Road bill include St. Vincent, Feist, Jeff Tweedy and Yo La Tengo. It's certainly a more indie/alternative-based line-up than EP has been in recent years, but who knows what'll happen?

The Electric Picnic bill is usually announced around March, so watch this space for updates.
