The second Eurovision semi-final took place in Kyiv last night, and as you may know by now, Ireland failed to qualify for tomorrow night's Grand Final for the fourth time in five years.

Our entry this year was former Hometown singer Brendan Murray, whose ballad 'Dying to Try' unfortunately didn't do the business for us.

Needless to say, the Twitter jury was out in force and reactions to our failure to reach the final ranged from hilarity to disgust to mortification and everything in between.

See the Twitter reaction below - and if you can bear to put yourself through it without an Irish entrant to cheer for, the Eurovision final kicks off at 8pm tomorrow.
