Interpol's Paul Banks to release second solo album

07 February 2012

Interpol vocalist Paul Banks will release a second solo album in 2012 under his pseudonym Julian Plenti, following his 2009 solo debut Julian Plenti is... Skyscraper. Banks, who is currently working on the material, will release the album through Matador.

Interpol's most recently (self-titled) album dropped in 2010, shortly after which bass player Carlos Dengler left the band.

Banks' first solo album was met with an enthusiastic response from critics who said, among other things that, "Paul Banks has found his real voice in Julian Plenti."
