The Irish Music Rights Organisation, or IMRO to you and me, will hold the fifth annual Live Music Venue of the Year awards on 26th February. The event will be held at the plush IMRO HQ in Dublin.
entertainment.ie favourites Heathers (above) were on hand this morning for the announcement of the shortlist, along with IMRO top brass Victor Finn and Keith Johnson.
The awards celebrate an oft-overlooked aspect of the music industry on this island, that of the venue owners and operators and the importance of recognising the part that they play in bringing live music to the masses.
Awards for IMRO Music Festival of the Year and IMRO Best Small Festival of the Year will also be handed out on the note.
