The shortlist for the Choice Music Prize, awarded to the Irish Album of the Year during 2015, has been announced.

The ceremony will take place at Dublin's Vicar Street on Thursday, March 3rd and will be broadcast live on Paul McLoone's Today FM show that night.

Battling it out for the €10,000 prize are the following ten albums:

Ham Sandwich - 'Stories from the Surface'
Jape - 'This Chemical Sea'
Le Galaxie - 'Le Club'
Colm Mac Con Iomaire - 'Agus Anois an Aimsir (And Now the Weather)'
Roisin Murphy - 'Hairless Toys'
SOAK - 'Before We Forgot How to Dream'
Villagers - 'Darling Arithmetic'
Young Wonder - 'Birth'
