Heineken goes extra green for this year's Electric Picnic
Heineken is inviting festival fans to collaborate in making this year’s Electric Picnic extra 'green' with a brand new eco-initiative; The Heineken Eco Exchange. The initiative will see Heineken install three collection points around the festival site where festival attendees are invited to deposit 20 used plastic pint glasses collected from around the site in exchange for instant win prizes.
The initiative will mean festival goers themselves will help keep the site clean throughout the weekend and be rewarded in a fun way for doing so. It will also increase the amount of plastic that gets recycled after the festival meaning a greener environment for all.
Each person that deposits a batch of 20 cups will be rewarded with a spin on a prize wheel and the opportunity to win prizes on the spot that range from Electric Picnic 2013 tickets to jackets, hoodies, sunglasses and tickets to gigs throughout the year, courtesy of Heineken.
