He may be dabbling in the acting world with his role in Christopher Nolan's forthcoming WW2 film 'Dunkirk', but Harry Styles has

As previously reported, the One Direction star signed an $80 million solo deal with Columbia Records, and it seems that he's been working with some big names in the pop world for it - most notably Bruno Mars and Max Martin, the Swedish songwriter and producer who's responsible for some of the biggest hits by Britney, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and practically ever other big pop star of the last twenty years.

However, it seems that one person who has had his nose put out of joint by Styles and Mars' collaboration is Robbie Williams - who said that he tried (and failed) to get both of those songwriters to work on his own album 'The Heavy Entertainment Show'.

‘Last year I tried to work with Bruno Mars – didn’t hear anything back. Tried to work with Max Martin – didn’t hear anything back. They literally didn’t return my calls,’ he told the Radio Times. "‘Then I met Harry Styles in an airport. “Oh, you’re writing, Harry? Great, who with?” He goes: “Well, I just spent a week with Bruno Mars, and I’m about to spend a week with Max Martin”."

Rather than be bitter about it, however, he said he told Styles: "‘You’re the new me. Good luck!”’
