Green Day have paid their respects to Irish fan of theirs, 17-year-old Kaelem Hainsworth,  who died suddenly of natural causes.

Green Day bass player Mike Dirnt posted a tribute on the band's official website which read:

"It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Kaelem Hainsworth, a Green Day fan in Dublin, passed away suddenly at the young age of 17 and we want to send our deepest condolences to Kaelem's family and friends.

His funeral is this Thursday, which falls on Thanksgiving in the United States, and hearing sad news around the holidays always makes it more upsetting. Kaelem you will forever be missed."

Meanwhile, Green Day have announced details of '¡Quatro!', following the releases of '¡Uno!', '¡Dos!', and '¡Tre!'. Unlike its predecessors, ¡Quatro! isn't album but a behind the scenes documentary directed by Tim Lynch.

Green Day recently cancelled all of their upcoming live dates to allow lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong to spend time in rehab to treat a substance abuse issue he has.
