Husband and wife team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez picked up the Academy Award for Best Original Song last night for their song 'Let It Go' from Dizney's animated feature Frozen, beating Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' and U2's 'Ordinary Love' to the gong.
With the win Robert Lopez becomes the newest inductee to the EGOT club, meaning that he can now add his Oscar win to his three Tony Awards, two Emmys and his Grammy. The duo ended their acceptance speech with a plea for Disney to produce a sequel to Frozen - surely a foregone conclusion, but the animation company have remained tight-lipped thus far.
Steven Price was the winner of the Best Original Score Oscar for his work on Gravity, one of the film's five awards on the night.
There was some star-studded performance on the night too with U2, Pharrell Williams and Karen O all performing live. U2 used their slot perform a touching eulogy to Nelson Mandela during 'Ordinary Love', a song which featured on the Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom soundtrack, as the echoes of audience applause almost drowned out the last verse.

Pharrell Williams left the stage during his rendition of 'Happy' to dance in the front row with Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Lupita Nyong'o in a performance inspired by the movie Grease.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O performed a stripped back version of 'Moon Song' from Her, accompanied by the sparse guitar of Vampire Weekend Ezra Koenig.

In something of a surprise, Pink was even on show as she sang homage to Judy Garland with a version of 'Over The Rainbow'.
It was Idina Menzel's performance of 'Let It Go' which resonated the most, though, as the Broadway star's outstandingly powerful voice shook the room leaving little doubt as to the rightful owner of the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
