Bray singer songwriter Fionn Regan is to headline this year's Hard Working Class Heroes festival. One of Fleet Foxes' Bella Union labelmates, Regan will play at The Button Factory on Saturday October 17th as part of the festival for up and coming Irish bands. He will be playing favourites from his Mercury Prize and Choice Music Prize nominted début album, The End Of History, as well as a selection of new songs from his forthcoming album The Shadow Of An Empire which is due for release in early 2010.
Regan said of his headlining slot, ' I'm really looking forward to Hard Working Class Heroes. I believe the festival is an important exhibition of the talent here in this country, it unearths the diamonds, shines a light into the mine. I’ve assembled a new band and they are firing on all cylinders and I'm very excited about getting back on the road to put across the new album, it's a strong bucket brimming from a deep well... '
