Ballinlough Castle, Co. Meath, is to play host to a new festival organised by the people behind the Electric Picnic's favourite chill out area, the Body & Soul Arena.
The Body & Soul Solstice Weekend will take place from June 19th to 21st, and The Irish Times' Jim Carroll reports that a musical line up should be announced shortly.
Ballinlough Castle has previously been the venue for the Life and Garden Party festivals, and has a capacity of 10,000, though we assume this will be slightly smaller, more laid back affair. Very few details are available at the moment. According to the Body & Soul Website, the festival "is inspired by nature, art, music, performance, sustainability, healing arts, community and creative expression in its many guises. Our intention is to co-create a vibrant sense of community; to awaken a sense of connection between people and the environment, the artist and the viewer, the world of dreams and the natural world we inhabit."
