Most Recent Release

Outkast haven' t been terribly prolific, what with them being on hiatus since 2007 and all, but they did release their most recent record 'Idlewild' back in 2006. The record drew mixed reviews from numerous different publications and the general feeling was that it wasn't as great an album as its predecessor 'Speakerboxxx/The Love Below' three years prior.

What Have They Been Up To?

This year? Simply put: they've been making bucketloads of cash. Their current tour is an incredibly profitable money spinner for Andres and Big Boi but, despite rumours of a new album, they seem to be operating a "get in and get out" moneymaking strategy and all indications suggest that there won't be any new Outkast material any time soon.

Go See Them Because

They've written some of the most foot-tapplingly catchy pop songs of the last fifteen or so years. The pair - and especially Andres 3000 - are showmen and they'll hit the Picnic stage at the tail-end of their summer tour, so you can expect them to be a pretty well-oiled unit come the end of August.

You Didn't Know

Andres 3000 wrote and performed every single instrument (with the exception of the bass) on the band's biggest hit 'Hey Ya'.
