He's had success with songs on other film soundtracks in the past - most notably 'I See Fire' from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - but he's not exactly the first name that springs to mind when it comes to Bond.

Nevertheless, Ed Sheeran says that he'd be up for doing a Bond theme song at some point in the future if the opportunity arose - on one condition.

although he's not a fan of the competitive nature of being selected for it, as he told Capital FM: "I heard when they do the Bond tracks, they ask a bunch of people to do it. I think I wouldn't wanna put like loads and loads of time and effort into a song that was like, part of like five different people going up for it.

He added, however, that he wouldn't necessarily turn down the chance if it was offered to him and him alone:  "I don't think anyone would say no to that," he said. "That's definitely something I would do."

Before Bond, he releases his new album 'Divide' tomorrow.
