As you may have heard, Ed Sheeran is playing Croke Park tonight and tomorrow night (see here for safety notice and stage times of the support acts).

A press conference (above) was held at the stadium earlier today to drum up a bit of excitement, and the singer said that he is looking forward to playing Croke Park more than he was looking forward to his three nights recently at Wembley Stadium.

"I said after Wembley was done that this was going to be more fun just because there’s no nerves, and the Irish crowd has always been the best crowd I’ve played to," he said. "They're just mental."

Sheeran has been in Ireland for the past few days - playing a surprise gig in Whelan's on Wednesday night - and revealed that he's spent the last few days chilling out at his granny's house. "We ate pasta last night, I hung out with the dog," he said. "Nothing that rock and roll to be honest."

He posted a pic to his Instagram yesterday, captioned "Can't wait for this weekends shows at Croke Park stadium. I love me some Ireland."

Perhaps most impressively of all, he also revealed that HB have made him his very own brand of gingerbread-flavoured Iceberger as part of their 'Goodbye Serious' campaign. "You know you've made when…" he captioned the below picture.

His label - which support act Jamie Lawson is signed to - is called Gingerbread Records, y'see.

If you're heading to either show, have fun!
