Is there nothing that Ed Sheeran can't do?

He sells out venues all over the world, won a million awards, made friends with Elton John, sang with Beyoncé, has just been announced as the host of this year's MTV EMAs, and now he's turning his hand to acting.

It seems that his recent cameo in Home & Away gave him a taste for the small screen, as he features in a small recurring role in the new series of 'The Bastard Executioner' - a "blood-soaked medieval epic" from the makers of Sons of Anarchy, which airs on US network FX.

Sheeran plays the role of Sir Cormac, an assistant to a "powerful priest", according to NME.

An appearance in Game of Thrones is surely calling...
