Dolores O'Riordan was planning another Cranberries album before she died, according to her bandmate Noel Hogan.

The frontwoman, who was laid to rest in her native Limerick yesterday, had been working with her new band D.A.R.K. in recent years, but had kept in close contact with her first band too. Last year, an orchestral album recorded at the University of Limerick was released, showcasing some of their biggest hits accompanied by the UL Concert Orchestra.

Their most recent studio album was 2011's 'Roses', but Hogan told Rolling Stone that they had spoken about new material on January 12th and she emailed him some new songs for consideration, two days later.

"She was great," he said. "We spoke about getting back to work."

Meanwhile, Anohni has been one of several musical acts to pay tribute to the late star by uploading her a cappella cover of 'No Need to Argue' to Instagram.
