The line-up for Ravelóid, a new non-profit music festival that aims to boost awareness of/generate enthusiasm for the Irish language, has been revealed.

The first Ravelóid takes place on June 10th and 11th in the grounds of Ardgillan Castle in north county Dublin.

The bands confirmed to play so far include Delorentos, Seo Linn, The Riptide Movement, Ham Sandwich, Kíla, Heathers, Mundy, Hot House Flowers, Altan, Bréag, Mo Hat Mo Gheansaí, TG Lurgan, The Bonnymen, Na Firéin, Gráinne Holland and Boss Sound Manifesto.

The festival will be the biggest Irish language event of the 2016 cultural programme - and as well as the musical element, there will be comedy, dance, literature, discussions, workshops and more included across the two days.

There will be full camping facilities for 5,000 people.
