Kodaline have spoken recently of their burgeoning friendship with Hollywood actor Courteney Cox - but now it appears that the former Friends star is getting involved in the Dublin band's career, too.

Cox's fiance, Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid, co-wrote a song on the Dublin band's new album 'Coming Up for Air' called 'Love Will Set You Free'.

Now it looks like the quartet are set to release it as a single - and Cox is directing the video for it.

She told Us Weekly magazine "I'm directing a video for a band right now called Kodaline. They're amazing. My fiancé had produced a track with them and when they were doing it at the studio, I said, 'Guys, I have to direct this video.' I felt it, I saw it."

Cox directed her first feature film 'Just Before I Go' last year, and has previously directed episodes of TV show Cougar Town.

The band are currently on tour in the US and look to have used a gap in their schedule to shoot the video in Malibu, California.

Cox shared a picture of herself with the band on Twitter:
