Hip-hop legends NWA may be about to reform - if Universal Pictures have their way, that is.

The group last partially reunited in 2002, but with new biopic 'Straight Outta Compton' set for release next month, rumours abound that the studio that made it is encouraging Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and DJ Yella to reform for a European tour.

What's more, there are rumblings that Eminem would take the place of the late Eazy-E, who died in 1995.

The rumours began with the chairperson of Universal Pictures, Donna Langley, who told The Hollywood Reporter: "We don't have anything settled yet with everyone's schedules - but we think it can create a lot of buzz."

Eminem features on the soundtrack of 'Straight Outta Compton'. Although three of the group's original members performed together at an event in LA recently, Dre did not join them.
