The Sugar Club will be a haven of entertainment over the next few weeks, with a slew of great acts lined up to set up shop in the Leeson Street venue.

The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, or HBE for fans of acronyms, will play a residency from the 12th to 15th of December - 4 nights with one of the best live bands around with special guest Irish musicians and DJs each night to make this the perfect Yuletide night out and to cap off a triumphant year of live shows in The Sugar Club.

All of the HBE members are sons of Jazz giant Phil Cochran and formerly played under the moniker of Phil Cochran Youth Ensemble and have shared the stage with the likes of Mos Def, Erykah Badu, Ghostface Killah, as well as collaborating with Damon Albarn on the third Gorillaz record 'Plastic Beach'.

Meanwhile, Beardyman will play a club show in the same venue on Saturday November 30th - a full 6 hours of entertainment with Deady doing their live thing, Beardyman doing his wacky live show and DJs Handsome Paddy and Lil Dave keeping feet a-tappin' until the wee hours.

The Pharcyde will also play the Sugar Club THIS FRIDAY - one of only three shows in the country that they'll be doing, where they'll treat you to tunes from their seminal 1989 debut album Bizarre Ride II. Support on the night will come from The Animators and let us tell you; this one isn't to be missed.
