After its successful Dublin debut last May, the Camden Crawl will come back to the heart of Dublin for round two this May Bank Holiday weekend. This year, though, will see the festival undergo some changes.

The UK Camden Crawl has been packing out venues in London since 1995 and now, having taken home a third Best Metropolitan Festival at the 2012 UK Festival Awards, the decision has been made to move the London Crawl from the already jam-packed summer festival schedule and transplant it to October 2013 meaning that its Dublin-based little sister will take the sole responsibility of unearthing a bevy of brand new acts to feast your ears on in 2013.

From May 3rd to 5th, 15 venues in the centre of Dublin will welcome more than 150 acts from home and abroad, curated by a selection of Ireland's best opinion-makers and music professionals including Whelan's Live, Hidden Agenda, Other Voices, Strange Brew, Young Hearts Run Free, State Magazine, Mother Club, Ruby Sessions, Dan Hegarty, Sweet Oblivion, Nialler9, Totally Dublin, Paul McLoone and, of course, entertainment.ie/music.

A new addition to this year's Crawl will be a range of cutting edge comedy acts, meaning that Crawlers can exchange bone-shaking grooves for bellylaughs at a moment's notice.

Speaking about the announcement, Lisa Comerford, head of brand and communications for Meteor, who sponsor the festival, said: "Meteor's vision is to showcase and reward new and emerging Irish and international music talent. This year's Crawl will once again give our customers access to exclusive and intimate music experiences with the acts they love, and the opportunity to discover fresh new talent for themselves."

Tickets will cost €55 for a full weekend, or €35 per day and will be available through entertainment.ie/tickets.

In addition, a range of tickets - priced from €1 to €10 - will go on sale to members of the Camden Crawl Dublin and Meteor databases and will be released from 1st of February.

We're beaming from ear-to-ear here today at being involved in the Camden Crawl once more and we absolutely can't wait to get stuck in. The line-up will be confirmed at the end of the month, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.
