If you're a fan of California noise-mongers Avenged Sevenfold and you live in or around the greater Dublin area, you'll be delighted to hear that there's an opportunity for you to hear their brand new album 'Nightmare' in full ahead of its worldwide release next Monday July 26th.

Yes, two of the best pubs for those of your musical persuasion will be playing the album for in full for the first time in Ireland on Sunday July 25th. If you want to be one of the first people in the country to hear 'Nightmare', just head over to Bruxelles on Harry St or Fibber Magees on Parnell street where they'll be hosting listening parties between the hours of 6pm and 10pm.

'Nightmare' is Avenged Sevenfold's 5th album, and is being released following the untimely death of the band's drummer James 'The Rev' Sullivan in December 2009 at the all too young age of just 28.

According to the press release, "The new album, Nightmare, is dedicated to The Rev memory and although it's not exactly a concept album, it does centre around The Rev.The eeriest thing about it is there is a song on the album called 'Fiction' (a nickname The Rev gave himself) which started out with the title 'Death'. And the song was the last song The Rev wrote for the album, and when he handed it in, he said, that’s it, that’s the last song for this record, and then 3 days later, he died".

Avenged Sevenfold are currently touring North America, and are set to visit the UK in October, though an Irish date has yet to be added to their schedule.
