Bono has, according to a statement released by U2 on their website, suffered a "complete loss of voice" during a Berlin gig which was cut short and eventually cancelled.

The band, currently touring Europe, were playing Berlin's Mercedes-Benz Arena when the incident occurred and happened during the performance of 'Red Flag Day'. The statement also added that they're taking medical advice.

"We're so sorry for tonight's cancellation. Bono was in great form and great voice prior to the show and we were all looking forward to the second night in Berlin, but after a few songs, he suffered a complete loss of voice," the statement read.

One person who caught the moment when it happened was none other than Ashley Judd, who was in Berlin at the concert when it happened. Here's that footage.

U2 are set to play Cologne, Germany in two days however the status of that show is not yet and the 'experience+innocence' tour is set to continue until November 10th.
