The dates for Forbidden Fruit 2017 were recently announced, and now the first batch of acts has been revealed - and one is of them a band that is fiercely beloved of Irish audiences.

It's been a few years since Bon Iver played Ireland, but with new album '22, A Million' being released earlier this year, they'll be playing the festival at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham on Monday, June 5th.

Bon Iver will in fact both perform at and curate the Monday of Forbidden Fruit, which will also feature Flying Lotus, Lisa Hannigan, The Staves, Gordi, Paul Thomas Saunders with more acts to be announced.

Other bands and artists who will play the Saturday and Sunday of the festival will be announced in the coming months.

For now, day tickets for the Monday go on sale this coming Monday, December 19th at 9am and are €59.50 including booking fee.

Early bird weekend tickets are also on sale from usual outlets now, priced €99.50 for Two Day Weekend (Sat 3rd & Sun 4th)  and €145.50 for Three Day (Sat 3rd, Sun 4th, Mon 5th).
