Beyonce to perform at President Obama's inauguration

Beyonce is set to perform the United States National Anthem at the second inauguration of US President Barack Obama on January 21st at the Capitol building in Washington DC.

Those of you with sharp brains might recall that Beyonce performed at Obama's initial inauguration four years ago, where she sang a rendition of Etta James' 'At Last' during Obama and his wife Michelle's first dance.

Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor will also perform at the event.

President Obama has gone on record speaking of his affection for Beyonce and even said recently that Ms Knowles is a perfect role model for his daughters. Speaking at a fundraising event during Obama's re-election campaign organised by Jay-Z, the President said: "To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship. Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls."
