WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE DRUMMERS?!

This is undoubtedly the best music-related story you'll hear today.

Scottish indie band Belle & Sebastian are currently on tour in the USA, but almost had to cancel a gig in St. Paul, Minnesota last night after accidentally leaving their drummer behind in the previous city.

Their tour bus had stopped at a Walmart in Dickinson, North Dakota the previous night and when they all reboarded, nobody noticed that Richard Colburn was not on board - and he didn't have his phone or any ID with him.

"The thing is, he was probably thinking that somebody was going to notice, but the trouble is everybody went to bed,” frontman Stuart Murdoch told The Current. “I mean, there used to be a system. But because we all have mobile phones these days, everybody’s got a little bit blasé about it. It used to be that it was the pass on the passenger seat — you used to leave a pass for the last person, and that’s how the driver knew.”

Luckily, Colburn had a credit card and checked into a hotel for the night while they figured out a plan of action.
