Battles have announced details of the follow up to the album deemed the best of 2007 by many critics, their debut 'Mirrored'.

Entitled 'Glass Drop', the album is due for release on June 3rd, just ahead of their recently announce date at Dublin's new Forbidden Fruit festival. The New York experimental rock group join Aphex Twin on the Sunday line up for June 5th, taking to one of three stages in the grounds of the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham.

Making up for the loss of singer and guitarist Tyondai Braxton last year, 'Glass Drop' features a number of guest vocalists, including Blonde Redhead's Kazu Makino on 'Sweetie & Shag', Yamantaka Eye of Boredoms on 'Sundome' and new wave icon Gary Numan on 'My Machines'.
