Amplify, the newest initiative from Guinness to help promote and support Irish music, was launched at the start of July to much fanfare. The launch outlined the magnitude of support that the drinks company will be injecting into Irish music by way of the multi-faceted approach of Amplify, which promises to bridge the gap between musicians and their respective audiences across the country.
Dozens of bands have uploaded their details to the Guinness Amplify website, after which publicans up and down the country will leaf through the list and book a number of the acts for gigs. As well as that, bands who apply will also be eligible for master classes, studio time and a whole range of other goodies that Guinness has made available.
So, if you're interested in applying, please bear in mind that the closing date for band applications is THIS THURSDAY 31st of July and to avail of this opportunity you'll need to get your details over to Guinness before then.
