If you're an Aslan fan, you'll be aware of their famous 'Made in Dublin' live album and DVD that was recorded at Vicar Street back in 1999.

The band were reportedly advised not to record a live album, as they traditionally didn't sell - but they went ahead with it and 'Made in Dublin' turned out to be their biggest-selling record, going triple-platinum within a year of its release.

Well, this December - 17 years after 'Made in Dublin' was recorded - Christy Dignam and his bandmates will return to the same venue to play the album through in its entirety, complete with the same stage design, set-up, and a string quartet and percussionist, as well as musicina Fitzy on piano and keys.

The gigs will take place on December 27th and 29th, and tickets are €35 and on sale now from usual outlets.
