Arctic Monkeys Sell Single Through Oxfam... Again

09 November 2009

Arctic Monkeys clearly considered the release of single 'Crying Lightning' through Oxfam shops earlier in the year a whopping success, as they are to do the same with forthcoming single 'Cornershop'.

While 'Crying Lightning' was released on seven inch vinyl, 'Cornershop' will be release on 10", with three new B-sides – 'Catapult', 'Sketchead', and 'Fright Lined Dining Room'.

The single will be available in the top 50 Oxfam music stores across the UK, and we assume the same ones as last time here in Ireland. Each single will come with a download code allowing purchasers to download the MP3s of the songs.

A la Willy Wonka, the band have hidden a limited number of 'golden tickets' for their sold out UK tour in random copies of the single. No word yet on whether that includes their Dublin and Belfast shows, taking place in the Odyssey Arena on November 25th and The O2 on November 26th.
