If you told us this time last year that an album would be coming out featuring the combined talents of Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, Sir Elton John, Jake Shears and Trent Reznor, we'd probably have laughed in your face. Truth, it seems, is stranger than fiction as all of the above have been confirmed as appearing on Queens of the Stone Age's upcoming sixth album ...Like Clockwork. And now you can add Arctic Monkey's Alex Turner to the list.

QOTSA frontman Josh Homme is a known admirer of the Turner and his band. In fact, he served as producer (and occasional vocalist) on the third Arctic Monkeys' record, the criminally under-appreciated Humbug, and now Turner is back to return the favour.

It's been a long wait since QOTSA's most recent album, 2007's Era Vulgaris, but Homme has satiated his creative desires with work on his side project Them Crooked Vultures, along with various other passion projects. Queens of the Stone Age are one of the finest examples, in our opinion, of true modern rock and roll and we can't wait to hear what Homme and his impressive list of pals have gotten up to.

...Like Clockwork is due out in June.
