AC/DC delay recording new album due to unspecified band member's illness

01 February 2012

AC/DC have been delayed in releasing the follow up to their 2008 album Black Ice after an as-yet-unnamed member of the band has become ill. Lead singer Brian Johnson told The Cowhead Show that “Hopefully this year we can get back together again. One of the boys is a little sick. I can't say anything, but he's getting better."

When pressed on the subject of the illness, Johnson didn’t elaborate except for reassuring AC/DC fans that it’s not terminal.

As for Johnson himself, he was forced to cancel a 10 date solo tour after undergoing minor surgery on his wrist.
