50 Cent headed for first UK number 1

50 Cent is on his way to his very first UK number ones this week. The rapper tops the midweek chart tally, with current Will.I.Am number one, ‘Scream & Shout’, dropping to second place.

The track in question, ‘My Life’ which features guest performances from Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and Eminem, is the second single from his upcoming album Street King Immortal.

Despite huge popularity and US number ones, the top spot has eluded him until now. Street King Immortal was originally due for release in November 13, 2012 but following various disputes with label, Interscope and a brief cancellation the release has been scheduled for February 26, 2013, the 10 year anniversary of Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
