17 Irish acts heading to South By Southwest in Texas

Music From Ireland (MFI) has announced that 17 acts will be making the voyage to Austin, Texas for this year's South By Southwest music showcase festival. Included in the names on the list are Delorentos, Ash, Kodaline, Little Green Cars and Girls Names.

The music portion of the festival will take place from March 12th to 17th.

SXSW is one of five international music showcases which are produced and presented by First Music Contact and Culture Ireland every year, the others being Eurosonic, CMJ, CMW and The Great Escape.

The 17 bands who'll be winging their way to Texas are:

BP Fallon
Declan O Rourke
Delorentos
Funeral Suits
Girls Names
Hudson Taylor
Kid Karate
Kodaline
Kool Thing
Little Green Cars
Psycatron
Sea Pinks
So Cow
Squarehead
The Lost Brothers
