You know you're getting old when the kids of the bands you listened to growing up start releasing their own material.

In this case, it's the offspring of Billie Joe Armstrong, frontman of pop-punks Green Day, who is making us feel bad about our advancing years.

Jakob Armstrong - or Jakob Danger, as he's known - is releasing his debut EP on Los Angeles record label Burger Records.

The 16-year-old and his older brother Joseph (19) are both musicians following in the family footsteps. Mind you, their dad wasn't much older when he formed Green Day at 17.
